Inspired by themes in The Sunshine Eaters, storytellers share true, personal stories of their experiences with comfort through nature. Part of the True Stories (Told Live) Toronto event series. Organized and hosted by Storytelling Coach Marsha (of Yes Yes Marsha –
YesYesMarsha.com).

Storytellers are: Sage Tyrtle, Hisham Kelati, Keira Loukes and David Keystone.

The Sunshine Eaters is an original multi-sensory exhibition that highlights how artists and designers look to the land and its plants, flowers and trees as a means to imagine and conjure hope in the face of local and global crises.

Featuring work by: Shary Boyle, Nick Cave, Robert Holmes, Jim Holyoak, Brian Jungen, Jessica Karuhanga, Alexandra Kehayoglou, Nina Leo and Moez Surani, Tony Matelli, Alanis Obomsawin, Ebony G. Patterson and Winnie Truong. Curated by Lisa Deanne Smith.

Exhibition runs January 10 to April 15, 2018.

The show is a really lovely night, friendly and warm. There is a 20-minute interval, but quite a few people come on their own with a book or something, so if you fancy doing that, you won’t be the only one.

If you want to come early and grab some food, The Lakeview diner (est 1932) is a few steps away, with the best shakes (I love banana-vanilla) and sweet potato fries in Toronto.

Spooky Storytelling Event Returns to The Garrison! 
Our wildly popular show GHOST Stories (Told Live) Toronto is back!

This fundraiser for free show True Stories Told Live Toronto features storytellers telling (mostly) true stories about eerie things that happened to or near them. Featuring some of True Stories Told Live’s previous favourites, and a few new faces. Plus the annual and ever popular Ghostbusters Theme Singalong!
