The show is a really lovely night, friendly and warm. If you’ve been to one before, you’ll know that our January shows are always a bit MAGICAL. There is a 20-minute interval, but quite a few people come on their own with a book or something, so if you fancy doing that, you won’t be the only one.
Masks are not required but are lovingly encouraged. There will be masked-only seating available.
If you want to come early and grab some food, The Lakeview diner (est 1932) is a few steps away, with the best shakes (I love banana-vanilla) and sweet potato fries in Toronto.
NEXT SHOW AFTER THIS ONE: Mon Nov 28th, save the date!
Our wildly popular show GHOST Stories (Told Live) Toronto is back!
This fundraiser for (otherwise) free show True Stories Told Live Toronto features storytellers telling (mostly) true stories about eerie things that happened to or near them. Featuring some of True Stories Told Live’s previous favourites, and a few new faces. Plus the annual and ever popular Ghostbusters Theme Singalong!
Storytellers: Allyson McOuat Set Shuter Alex Garcia Max Broyda Rhiannon Archer Tim Greenwood Zabrina Douglas
COSTUME OPTIONAL. Masks optional but encouraged (masked-only seating area available)
GHOST STORIES (TOLD LIVE) TORONTO

Doors open 6.45pm, stories start 7.30pm sharp. (latecomers admitted very quietly)
THANK YOU to everyone who came to our last online show. WHAT a smasher!!! In the top 3 of best shows we’ve ever had. Want to see it for yourself? You can watch the replay here.
Heyyyyyy 6th wave! Toronto’s biggest storytelling show is back again — online and into your living room! This is a “best of” from far away guests who told stories at the online shows (with a brand new story thrown in to mix things up). In partnership with The Toronto International Storytelling Festival!
**ASL Interpretation provided**
Five storytellers will take you to places and live experiences you never thought possible (especially now!) and make you feel connected to other humans in a way that feels more essential now than ever.
These are PWYC with a suggested donation of $15CAD (but really, pay what you *can) with proceeds being split between the performers, producers and with Anduhyaun, a shelter and housing program in Toronto that supports Indigenous women and children.
DETAILS:
Mon May 16th @ 7:30pm—9pm ET / 4.30–6pm PT On Zoom — info on how to join sent when you get a ticket.
Storytellers: Jeff Harry (Oakland, CA) Olwen Wilson (Waterloo, ON) Khan Ramkeesoon (Long Beach, CA) Nick North (Salt Spring Island, BC) And very special guest, The Philadelphia Orchestra’s Official Storyteller, Charlotte Blake Alston (Philadelphia, PA)
If this show has taught me anything over the last 9 years it’s that, in BANANAS times when everything feels uncertain and weird and sometimes terrifying, listening to stories together makes everything feel better. The plan is to ask you to assemble at 7:25ish ET. If you can’t make it for the start of the show, you’ll be let onto the call as soon as the current storyteller has finished. As much as possible, it would be amazing if you can stay for the whole thing — and the stories I’ve lined up mean you’ll be glad you did.
Anyone in Ontario — and most outside — will be un-shocked to hear that we had to move the Jan 24th show online. The exciting part about this is that I’ve been able to pull in some INCREDIBLE storytellers who wouldn’t be able to make it in person.
The online shows are a different kind of magic. Perhaps foolishly, I’m hoping this is our last online show, at least for a while, so come along! Get your Pay What You Can tickets here. Show details:
